<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">I heard a lot of people say if you can master electric guitar then you can also master acoustic guitar playing. Is that true? Maybe not. Although acoustic guitar is somehow similar as electric guitar, to play both of them require some different techniques.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">I’ve heard guitar players who can fly on electric guitar, play all kinds of solos, riffs. When they tend to play acoustic guitar, they can hardly get clean sound. Especially if they plug in to amp, a very small scratch sound will be enlarged by the amp and sound like noise.</span></span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/jamplay"><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Click here for Ultimate Acoustic Guitar Lessons</span></span></a></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><span style="font-size: medium;"> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><span style="font-size: medium;"> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Here are some tips of how to improve your acoustic guitar playing:</span></span><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><span style="font-size: medium;"> </span></span><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><span style="font-size: medium;"> </span></span><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><span style="font-size: medium;"> </span></span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><span style="font-size: medium;">#1 Slow down</span></span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">A lot of electric guitar players like to play fast licks. They also try to play acoustic guitar like they way they play on electric guitar. That’s wrong. Slow down first, try to get every note as clean as you can. Then you can gradually speed up. This sounds very familiar to many guitar players, but not many people will do it. When they see Tommy Emmanuel’s acoustic guitar playing they forget about this reminder. They immediately pick up their guitar and try to play like Tommy. That’s impossible.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><span style="font-size: medium;"> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><span style="font-size: medium;"> </span></span><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><span style="font-size: medium;"> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Some people ask why they don’t make those noises when they play electric guitar, but when it comes to acoustic guitar playing they just don’t know where the noise comes from. Electric guitar player like rock players they often play electric guitar with effect of distortion. That effect sometimes will cover the noise you make, so you won’t notice it. Even you are an electric guitar player you still should slow down practice with clean sound.</span></span><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Here is how the guitar master Laurence Juber says about the sound.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><em><strong>Interviewer:</strong> <strong>I bet you have a clean sound on electric?</strong><br />
<strong>Laurence Juber:</strong> I do, and even when it&#8217;s dirty it&#8217;s clean. Because you need the clarity to get what&#8217;s going on. For me there&#8217;s certainly no effects on acoustic, because it&#8217;s “How big a sound can you get?</em>”</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">#2 Learn Finger Picking</span></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Acoustic guitar playing requires a lot more finger picking than electric guitar. Most of styles on electric guitar require playing with a pick only. However, acoustic guitar playing require both. You need to play with a pick to strum chords and you also need to play with fingers especially if you play fingerstyle.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span><br />
<strong><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">#3 Get a professional instructor</span></strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> The best and fast way to improve your acoustic guitar playing is to practice and learn from a professional guitar teacher. Although there are some guitarists are self taught, they still learn from other guitarists. If you can’t offer a private local teacher, there are some professional <strong><a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/best-online-guitar-lessons/">online guitar lessons</a></strong> worth to check out like <strong><a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/jamplay">Jamplay</a></strong>. At <strong><a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/jamplay">Jamplay</a></strong>, you can learn than 40 instructors and artists to improve your acoustic guitar playing with very little budget.</span></span></p>

There are many kinds of guitar lessons you can easily take at home. You can learn from online video lessons, pay for downloadable lessons and learn from <strong>guitar instructional DVDs</strong>. If your internet connection speed is fast and you like to join the community. You can consider about learn guitar from online video lessons and downloadable lessons. If you don’t want to worry about the internet connection, your best choice is to learn from guitar instructional DVDs at home.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><br />

</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Learn from guitar instructional DVDs gives you several advantages.</span></span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><br />
</span></span></strong></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><strong>#1</strong> Learn guitar from instructional DVDs gives you the full control of your process. I’ve had experience that the internet was down. And I couldn’t access any of my online video lessons for more than a week. I know this won’t happen very often, but who knows. Also back to few years ago I didn’t have the high speed internet. Every time I tried to watch a video lesson, it took a long time to wait. I had to pause it averagely for a about half an hour and let the video surf. Then I could start to watch. With the low speed internet, it also could take a long time to download one lesson. To learn from guitar instructional DVDs, you will no longer have to fix those problems.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><br />
</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><strong>#2</strong> It’s easy to carry DVDs to anywhere you want. If you travel to any place don’t have internet, you stock to get any online guitar lessons. Although a lot of places have the internet, there are places still don’t have it. If you take DVD lessons, you can take DVDs and your travel guitar to anywhere you want to travel to. Isn’t this cool? Travel with my guitar and write songs at different places. This is always on the list of my dreams. If you worry about getting a TV and DVD player while you are traveling. You can get a traveler DVD player. It’s a DVD player with screen which you can watch DVDs anywhere you want.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=186091&amp;u=417402&amp;m=22286&amp;urllink=&amp;afftrack=" target="_blank"><img class="aligncenter" style="border: 0pt none;" src="http://www.shareasale.com/image/22286/guitar17.jpg" alt="Home School Guitar Learning Systems - Order Now" width="296" height="208" border="0" /></a><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><br />
</span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><strong>#3</strong> You only pay for one time. If you look at the price you probably will think online video guitar lessons are much cheaper than a guitar instructional DVD course. But if you look closely you will notice you are paying those online guitar lessons a monthly fee. You actually are paying for it every month. To pay for a DVD course you only need to pay for it once, then you can use is as long as you can unless it’s physically broken.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/learnandmasterguitar" target="_parent">Learn and Master Guitar Course</a> is a set of home instruction course for learning guitar at home or anywhere. It was the winner of the 2008 Acoustic Guitar Magazine Players’ Choice Awards, two Telly Awards and an AEGIS Award for Excellence in Education. It’s one of the best Home Instruction Guitar Course I’ve seen. I’m really impressed after going through the course.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/learnandmasterguitar" target="_parent">Learn and Master Guitar Course</a> contains <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>20 instruction DVDs</strong></span>, <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">5 Jam-Along CDs</span></strong>, <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">a 108 pages instruction book</span></strong> and <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Student Support Community</span></strong>. As a guitar player I think this course would be enough for you to learn all the things you need. In this course it talks about:</span></p>
<ul style="text-align: left;">
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Basic Techniques</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Basic Chords</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">How to read music and tab</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> Ear Training</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> Strumming Techniques</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Major, Minor, and Pentatonic Scales</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Alternate Chords and Chord Creation</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Advanced Chords</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Advanced Electric Techniques</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Mastering the Entire Instrument</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">…</span></li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">There are actually more than this list but it’s too difficult to list every topic from this course. This course also covers a lot of styles like:</span></p>
<ul style="text-align: left;">
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Acoustic Guitar</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Electric &amp; Rock Guitar</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Classical &amp; Fingerstyle Guitar</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Blues Guitar</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Jazz Guitar</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Country Guitar &amp; Chicken Picken’</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">R&amp;B and Funk Guitar</span></li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">I have looked around in the market, there are guitar lessons usually talk about a specific style. <a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/learnandmasterguitar" target="_parent">Learn and Master Guitar Course</a> is one of the rare courses that cover so many styles especially Fingerstyle guitar, Jazz Guitar, Country Guitar, R&amp;B and Funk Guitar. I don’t usually find lessons that cover those styles.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">You basically don’t need any other materials. The thing I like about this course is it’s a step-by-step instruction course with high quality videos. You can work on it no matter what skills level you are. Beginners, Intermediate Players and Advanced players can all work with this course to improve. Another thing I like is about the instruction book. I like to watch the instructions in video but I don’t like to read the tab on screen. Someone like me would love to have this book. It has all tabs in this book.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/learnandmasterguitar"><img class="size-full wp-image-342 aligncenter" title="learn and master guitar review" src="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/learn-and-master1.jpg" alt="learn and master guitar review" width="361" height="239" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><span style="font-size: large;">The Instruction DVDs</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">There are totally 20 DVDs and the DVDs are the core of Learn and Master Guitar Course. This is also the core of Telly Award – Winning. The DVDs are in good quality and the lessons in DVDs are well designed to give students step-by-step guide to improve their levels.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">In each lesson, instructor Steve Krenz will teach you the concepts and give you the instructions in detail. There is also a follow-up practice that you can follow the instructor to practice. The tabs on screen are for people who like to read tab on screen. I don’t do this anyway. It’s just my habit.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Here are some screen shots of the <a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/learnandmasterguitar" target="_parent">Learn and Master Guitar DVD</a></span></p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><strong>Jam-Along CDs</strong></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><strong><a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/learnandmasterguitar"><img class="size-medium wp-image-338  aligncenter" title="5 jam-along cds - learn and master guitar review" src="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/5-jam-along-cds-300x199.jpg" alt="learn and master guitar review" width="300" height="199" /></a></strong></span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">This is my favorite part of this course. There are totally <a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/learnandmasterguitar" target="_parent">5 Jam-Along CDs</a>, nearly <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">100 tracks</span></strong> with various styles. With the Jam-Along CDs, I can easily practice at home like I use to practice in the band. I use to have band but I play alone now. I sometimes play alone with the Jam tracks for parties, and my friends like it. I’m very happy to be in the band again. The sound quality of the CDs is good. They are not MIDI tracks, they are played by <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>real band.</strong></span></span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">One thing I’m impressed about is in the early part of the course. Jam tracks are played in 3 different speeds (slow, medium, and fast). I don’t use the slow tracks, but I think they are very helpful for beginners.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">For the support they have a <span style="font-size: small;"><strong><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Student Community</span></em></strong></span> that you can post your audio clips or video of your playing for feedback. They also have a <strong><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Student Support Discussion Board</span></em></strong> for users. You can post questions and discuss with others there. <a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/learnandmasterguitar" target="_parent">Learn and Master Guitar</a> has mentioned on their official site that they give 60-day satisfaction guarantee. I never used it and I don’t think I’m going to get refund. I’m pretty happy with it.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Generally, I’m happy with the money I invested in this course. I was a little bit hesitated about the price at the beginning. After I received the course, I’m sure it worth the money.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">There are a lot of options for people to choose how to learn to play guitar. Many people choose to learn from a local music teacher on weekend. Some people buy instructions DVDs and online course to study at home. The disadvantage of study at home is that you don’t have any one to watch and monitoring you when you learn and practice. You have no one to ask when you have questions or difficulties. <a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/jamplay" target="_parent">Jamplay Online Guitar Lesson</a> has been consider about this issue and worked out the solution for guitar players. If you can’t afford to pay for a local teacher, <a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/jamplay" target="_parent">Jamplay Online Guitar Lesson</a> might be the best choice for you. I strongly suggest you to check it out. I also offer you a Jamplay Coupon Code that you can get 10% discount from it.<br />

<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">A lot of people can learn by themselves with instruction DVDs and online course, but sometimes you might have questions that need personalized answers. Jamplay you don&#8217;t only have advantages like other online course, you also have your own personal teacher. Your teacher will take care of you through the course, you can ask them questions and they will answer your questions in a video format. This is very handy. <p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">If you want to make you guitar playing bluesy learn blues guitar riffs is one of the best way to improve your blues guitar skills. There are some great blues guitar riffs from 60’s and 70’s music. Those riffs are widely used in other music styles. Even nowadays we still can hear some riffs in modern music.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Learn Blues Guitar Riffs will give you the benefits of make you feel the blues and enrich you improvisation resource. Blues guitar is one of the most powerful and emotional guitar playing styles. It requires you to fully put your emotion into your playing. When you play blues you also have to feel the blues first then play it out. If you are a beginner and don’t have any ideas about blues guitar, you can’t feel the blues so easily. The best way to get that feeling about blues music is to listen to more blues music and learn Blues Guitar Riffs. Although you know the pentatonic scales and blues scales, if you can’t feel the blues you can’t make the scales laid out and sounds like blues. When I started to learn blues I spent a month to learn all the notes of blues scales through the whole fingerboard, but when I jam with friends my solo didn’t sound like blues at all. I couldn’t play blue, because I couldn’t feel the blues.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/learnandmasterblues"><span style="font-size: large;">Click Here for Blues Guitar Lessons</span></a><br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">To learn Blues Guitar Riffs also give you a lot more choices when you jam with people. You can occasionally play some classical guitar riffs combined with your solo. A lot of great blues guitarists also use classical blues guitar riffs in their improvisation. It will suddenly take people to another memorable level to search for the classical impressions from their memories. And then come back to your playing again which make people feel refresh with your playing. This gives so much fun to both guitarists and audiences. The only thing you should remember is not to overdo it. This rule applies to anything. Just don’t overdo it.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"><br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Where to find great blues guitar riffs?</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;"> There are a lot of place to look for. You can find a lot of them on the internet, books from music store or learn from the CD (which is the hard way to do, but very beneficial). The easiest way to do is find a course like <a href="http://www.masteringguitarlessons.com/go/learnandmasterblues">Learn and Master Blues Guitar</a> that provide specific sessions to teach you great blues guitar riffs.
